Silicone Cupcake Cases.. The future?

Part of the reason behind my posting a basic sponge recipe was in order to prepare for this post! I really enjoy baking, especially now that I have my little girl I have a lot more time on my hands to be creative and enjoy cooking nice food. For a while now I had seen lots of silicone cake cases appearing on the shelves in the shops and been tempted - but wary of trying them out. Fear of change/spending out on something that I was not sure of.

Last weekend I went ahead and took the plunge, and spent a total of £4.29 on some star shaped cases by miniamo, and have to say I was pleasantly suprised with the results and will definitely reccomend them to others. What a fabulous little tool - reusable, wipe clean, and when baking with them; allow a couple of minutes after retrieving from the oven to cool, and the cakes simply slide out! Brilliant!

Unfortunately I didn't get round to typing this post before I'd eaten them all, so have no picture to show at the moment. I will try and bake another batch later in order to take a photo to upload.

Has anyone else tried these?
